SensoWeb "Guard-HT" - the standard for free trains

SensoWeb “Guard-HT” is the Choice for reliable break detection around the dryer group during free passes or where the paper web runs on the drying cylinder!

Continuously developed and optimized for decades, our fiber optic break sensors are successfully used in hundreds of paper machines worldwide.
(Known to many by the former names SensoWeb “Standard,” “Slalom,” or “Trian.” With the latest sensor generation, the product names have also been restructured.)

Thanks to the robust fiber optic design, the sensor is mounted in less exposed areas, and the light signals are transmitted to and from the measuring point via the high-transmission fiber optics (light guide). This eliminates the need for any electronics within the high-temperature area!

A SensoWeb “Guard-HT” system consists of:

• powerful near-infrared (NIR) sensor
• Heavy-duty fiber optics (up to 25m length)
• one of 3 boom variants with different sensor heads 
• Quick release mount

Thanks to powerful sensors and high-transmission fiber optics, the systems achieve a sensing range of up to 2m and thus working distances of up to 1m (with sufficient safety margin).
The sensors also offer professional contamination monitoring (alarm signal, optional display or analog signal).

SensoWeb "Guard-HT" can be configured with three different boom versions in four different lengths for different measuring positions: with a multi-adjustable adjustment ball joint with (Guard-HT/A) or without air purge (Guard-HT/S), or in a version for window operation (Guard-HT/T). Short booms are available for installations where the boom remains completely outside the cylinder row, and long booms are available for applications where varying paper widths are produced.
