LDM42 - Distance measurement over long distances

The LDM42 laser distance sensors from Astech GmbH have been rounding out our range of high-performance sensors for many years. The opto-electronic Distance sensors can measure distances of up to 30m without a reflector or 100m with a reflector with millimeter accuracy.

LDM42 sensors operate contactlessly according to the principle of phase comparison measurement (amplitude modulation) and enable the precise measurement of distances.

The sensors are characterized by high accuracy even at long distances and are largely independent of the surface of the target. The red, highly visible laser beam allows for easy alignment.

The LDM-Sensor can also be used on red-hot parts and, due to its long range, can detect positions, distances, etc. from a safe distance even in harsh environmental conditions.

Different interfaces are available for connection to the process control: analog output, Profibus, Profinet. For devices with a fieldbus, it is possible to easily read the data from several devices into the controller.
