Object detection in high-temperature range

Sensorik Austria specializes in the challenging tasks of object detection/presence detection in industrial environments: wherever conventional proximity sensors are insufficient, such as in high-temperature areas where large working distances and/or long fiber optic lengths are required!

The innovative and proven (optical fiber) technology (FO) enables the sensorElectronics in industrial environments, thanks to light guides (also called fiber optics), it can be placed in less exposed areas. The fiber optics easily transmit the light signals to difficult to access Places or in rough and name is Environmental conditionswhere the use of sensor electronics would otherwise be virtually impossible. And even in less harsh environments, the small footprint of the fiber optic sensor head is advantageous, as no devices impede access to the product for maintenance/inspection.

Material sensors polyIdent - Inline instead of in the laboratory

After the multi-wavelength sensor tri²dent, the first industrial material sensor on the market, Sensorik Austria is now introducing a new, even more powerful generation: the new polyIdent material sensors.

The polyID Sensors operate outside the conventionally used light spectral ranges in the so-called SWIR range (short-wave-infra-red, translated: near-infrared) and enable the “characterization” of organic materials by using material-specific absorption profiles.

For example, the sensor can be used as a material sensor to differentiate between materials, monitor the concentration of ingredients, or monitor coatings. The polyIdent sensors combine state-of-the-art detector technology with powerful LEDs and a state-of-the-art communication and user interface. And gradually, the offering will encompass a broad sensor platform that can meet the most diverse customer requirements! Stay tuned!

In-line material moisture sensors - even in high-temperature range

In times of rising energy costs, the measurement of material moisture before and/or after drying is of crucial importance for the energy efficiency of the process and thus the process costs in all drying processes.

Our fiber-optic material moisture sensors enable continuous, non-contact inline moisture measurement, even in harsh environmental conditions or at hard-to-reach measuring points. Thanks to their fiber-optic design, the sensor systems are suitable for high temperatures and can be installed just before, after, or even inside the dryer, allowing continuous inline monitoring of (residual) moisture or optimization of the energy required for drying.

The moisture sensors are available in a wide variety of designs – including truly heavy-duty versions that, thanks to innovative protective equipment, can measure paper moisture even in the harsh environmental conditions of a paper machine's dryer section.
